Verbier is a village located in the municipality of Bagnes, in the canton of Valais. It is one of the premier holiday resorts and ski areas in the world, recognized for its' off-piste runs. Verbier is well- known for its' wide array of sport and leisure activities during during both summer and winter seasons.

Verbier is a perfect location for hiking during summer time. The resort hosts a classical music Verbier Festival and it is a home to the Grand Raid Cristalp mountain biking competition and the Grand Concours Hippique horse show during summer months.

During the winter Verbier becomes a skiers paradise, as it forms part of the "Four Valleys" ski area. The winter season normally starts from the second week of December until the end of April. In the winter, the resort plays host to the world famous Verbier Xtreme freeride contest (the last stop in the Freeride World Tour), which takes place on the Bec des Rosses, and the renowned Verbier Ride freeskiing competition. 

 

Other activities of the area include climbing, paragliding, swimming, golf, badminton, Ice karting, and trips aboard the mountain railways. The resort has also a great nightlife, and stunning scenery which can be enjoyed at whichever pace suits you.
